Join a statewide community committed to public-safety communications, interoperability, training, and Emergency Support Function 2 (ESF-2) readiness.

Become a TX-COMU member

TX-COMU membership supports professional connection, training, collaboration, exercises, communications deployments, continuing education, and mentorship for Communications Unit personnel and partner organizations.

Sponsorship is required. Each application must be sponsored by at least two existing TX-COMU members.

Membership categories

Regular Member

$75 annually

For individuals with current State Credentialing in one or more ESF-2 positions other than AUXCOMM and RADO.

Associate Member

$85 annually

For individuals who have completed classroom training in an ESF-2 position but are not yet State-Credentialed, and for credentialed AUXCOMM and RADO personnel.

Organizational Member

$250 annually

For organizations and agencies applying for membership through an authorized representative.

Application process

  1. Download the fillable membership application.
  2. Complete all applicable sections and obtain sponsorship from two existing TX-COMU members.
  3. Save the completed application as a PDF.
  4. Upload the completed PDF using the protected form below.
  5. Review by the TX-COMU Board of Directors, followed by notice of the Board’s decision.

Application review and membership status

Submitting an application begins the review process only. Submission, receipt, or acknowledgment of an application does not constitute acceptance, confer membership, or create any membership right, benefit, status, or entitlement. The TX-COMU Board of Directors has final authority to approve or deny membership applications in accordance with TX-COMU’s governing documents, policies, and applicable law. Applicants will be notified after the Board reaches a decision.
